Ever given your car for repair / regular service or an accident repair ?

The service company usually offers pickup and drop of the car and sometimes your insurance will cover for an backup vehicle which yours is in the service station. The service advisor comes in to pick up the car and has a form which he fills out, marks areas which were damaged otherwise and records other things like meter reading, fuel level etc.

We designed an application which works on a PDA phone and is designed to block the common phone features and be used just for the purpose of using this application. We call this the “kiosk mode” which means that you will not be able to make phone calls to anyone outside the company address book or use any other application from the phone.

This is the Screen for unlocking the app which is running in the said Kiosk Mode.

This checks the battery level of the phone will buttons to dial to contacts (these are NOT the contacts of the phone but of the application which can be imported for the organization).

This is the main login screen where the service engineer who is picking or dropping the car can log in. In this application, this was called the PSC Code.
Hereafter, the user is asked a series of comments / questions about the car which is to be picked up or dropped. A summary is displayed at the end.


After this, the customer is prompted for his/ her signatures.

The user has more options besides picking or dropping the car.

With Jobs:
1. Pickup
2. Drop

Sat Nav Refers to the Satellite Navigation to an address where the car will be picked up or dropped.
Accident will report an accident.
Phonebook will browse all the contacts of the organization.
Call branch will call the branch offices.

This options is for the admin to come out of the locked application mode (kiosk mode).
